About Life Relaunch

Our Origin Story

As a young man, Mel Goebel spent a lot of time believing lies about his true identiy and what his purpose in life was. He felt stifled by his past and pressured about his future, but he couldn’t name or pinpoint how to address these feelings. True freedom came from discovering his true identity.

Mel found answers through deep, guided reflection, transparent community and the power of the Holy Spirit. He was given a gift of leadership, and was inspired to pursue Kingdom work for over 40 years, with a purpose to see the hearts of men and women changed through Jesus. In 2016, Mel gathered a diverse team to develop a two-day experience and share his vision for restoration and revival — where men could experience greater freedom and purpose with their God-given gifts. Jesus’ mission became the Life Relaunch mission, as found in Luke 4:18:

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.”

Today, thousands of men and women have gone through the Life Relaunch Experience and discovered a greater freedom and purpose.

Today, there are 17 Life Relaunch teams located in 8 different states, bringing the 2-day experience to men and women in churches, recovery programs, prisons and other people groups in the community. The Life Relaunch Experience is a faith-based resource committed to the restoration, and revival of men and women.

Volunteers Make The Difference

Operating with only a small part-time staff, it is the 120+ volunteers that are the foundation for the Life Relaunch Teams. Trained under the direction of a local Team Leader, the Life Relaunch Experience is routinely conducted for an ever increasing number of participants. The volunteers not only donate their time, but also bring the fellowship, caring and compassion that is essential to providing the nurturing and respectful atmosphere during the Life Relaunch Experience.

Participating Organizations

Partnering with local organizations, a local LR team brings the Life Relaunch Experience to small groups of men, in the times of and in the places of their greatest need. Life Relaunch provides the curriculum and training for partner organizations to bring restoration and revival to the people that they serve.

Statement of Faith

We believe in God as He has revealed Himself in the Bible.

We believe that He created all things, including us, and He is passionately interested and involved in our lives.

We believe that the Bible is His inspired word written to us for our benefit, and that within its pages exist absolute
truth.

We believe that God is able and eager to forgive all of our sins, and that this is accomplished through the salvation offered by Jesus, the Son of God.

We believe all who claim Jesus Christ as the Son of God and their Savior have become our brothers and sisters in the family of God our Father.

We join together with other believers in love to accomplish God’s will on earth knowing that we will spend eternity together with Jesus.

We believe that the Good
News of God’s love found in Jesus Christ is to be shared with all people because God loves everyone and wants them to come into relationship with Him through the power of the Holy Spirit.
